My beautiful wife started a blog today about eating well and responsibly (we’re all adults, right?). There are a few things that are worth paying attention to (even if you have no desire to push the meat aside for a moment).
- The writing is incredibly thoughtful. There is not of that first-draft-then-publish bullshit that yours truly is guilty of1. It’s edited and purposeful.
- It’s incredibly unfiddly. I’ll spend 2 hours debating whether to write in TextEdit or TextMate. She’ll write—in whatever. In this case, it was Microsoft Word with a little bit of Markdown massaging by me. That said, she’s got 3 more pieces already drafted. I don’t know what underwear I plan on wearing tomorrow morning2.
- I can vouch for the deliciousness of everything included in the link above—especially the seitan, but also the tempeh.
- She’s pretty.
So, you are becoming a vegan? Awesome! Get prepared to feel great, and of course, for your relatives and friends to ask you, “Well, what do you eat?”
